The third revival of Queen Charlotte's Ball was held to extensive media acclaim at the Savoy Hotel on 12th September 2011. Royal Patrons attending on the night were His Imperial Highness Archduke Philipp of Austria, Archduchess Mayasuni of Austria and Her Highness Princess Olga Romanov. Tickets were sold out six months before the event and three hundred guests enjoyed premier cru champagne followed by a gourmet four course dinner prepared by the Savoy chefs and accompanied by fine wines. The debutantes,in Philliipa Lepley white gowns and stunning Mikimoto jewels, processed to an aria sung by soprano Zoe Turner . The procession was choreographed by celebrity choreographer Lukas Kroulik and his team.Royal guests were whisked to the Ball by Maserati. The seven foot traditional Queen Charlotte's cake was created by Choccywoccydoodah whilst Charlie Ross raised £95,000 for the Childrens Trust.Amongst the fabulous auction prizes were a weekend generously donated by long term patrons their Graces the Duke and Duchess of Somerset at their stately home, a week on the World sold twice at £16,000 each and the debutante necklace created by Mikimoto was hotly sought after. Tallulah Rendall amazed us with a glamorous cabaret and after dinner, the inimitable Jive Aces lit up the dance floor ably assisted by GPS Lighting and Mad Boris Sound.
